SUMMER’S HOTTEST TOUR GIVES BACK
KISS, MÖTLEY CRÜE DONATE $100,000
TO THE AURORA VICTIM RELIEF FUND

THE ANNOUCEMENT WAS MADE WHEN THE TOUR STOPPED IN ENGLEWOOD, CO

Englewood, Colorado (August 9, 2012)—Rock legends KISS and MÖTLEY CRÜE announced at their summer concert in Englewood, Colorado last night that they will donate $100,000 to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund in the wake of the devastating movie theatre shooting in Aurora, CO on July 20, 2012. The announcement was made after the bands performed for fans at a stop on THE TOUR which will travel to 40 plus cities across the U.S. this summer.

“Following the heartbreaking news of the senseless shootings in Colorado we wanted to do something to help the families and victims. We bonded together with our tour partners and friends Kiss to donate money, but we also hope it inspires others to do the same, no matter how big or small,” said Nikki Sixx of MÖTLEY CRÜE .

“The terror these innocent victims of the Aurora massacre must have experienced and the profound loss their families now face is unimaginable. We hope that our small gesture helps inspire others to band together in compassion and financial support for all involved in this unspeakable tragedy,” said Paul Stanley of KISS.

“This generous donation to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund will be used to help meet the immediate and long-term needs of the victims and their families,” said Marla J. Williams, president and CEO of Community First Foundation. “Gifts like this one remind us that there are so many who care not only in our community but in communities around the country.”

The Aurora Victim Relief Fund at Community First Foundation
The Aurora Victim Relief Fund has been established in partnership with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper through Community First Foundation. This fund will be used only to meet the immediate and long-term needs of victims and their families and, as funds are available, the broad needs of those affected in the community. A group of community representatives, including individuals and providers, will assist with establishing priorities and selecting the nonprofits that will receive money from this fund. Community First Foundation will not charge any administrative fees for these gifts.
